Dempo Mail rearranged electrons thusly:

> POP3 connection to 192.168.20.1 failed : Connection refused
> Query status = SOCKET

That means your fetchmail is not able to poll mails from the NT popserver.
Either the pop server is stopped for some reason, or it is not able to see your
client.

Add a DNS entry for your NT server and see what happens. Ping is not the only
indication of connectivity.

Also add DNS support in your NT box, set default route and resolv.conf in your
linux box. See if it is able to resolve your HO_NT_1.DEMPOS (or whatever your
nt box is called).

try this fetchmailrc after adding your nt box to the dns ...

defaults
forcecr
poll 192.168.1.1 with proto pop3
user fowkar with pass foobar
fetchall

Have different fetchmailrcs for different logins ... that is a little
efficient. You can call fetchmail for all the logins using a simple shell
script. That way, if your users want to check other popmail accounts as well,
it is easier.
