Dunno about Pine - but mutt has a compressed-folder patch (written by Roland
Rosenfeld).  You can download rpms (latest stable - 1.2.5) built with this
patch from http://mutt.linuxatwork.at

Get a .muttrc of your choice from http://www.dotfiles.com (or look at
/usr/doc/mutt/samples for some stuff - /usr/local/doc/mutt/samples if you
compile your ownmutt)
