hi
i configured sound on my 810 m/c using alsa drivers 0.5.9c. it was
working perfectly till i decided to repartion and reinstall my
linux and win. what's happening now is that the sound does get configured
but there's a lot of noise( like radio static) along with the sound. also
there's no probs with my h/w as it's working perfectly in win98. i tried
configuring it on 3 of my friends having different 810 based mbds. got the
same prob on them too.
another thing i wanted to know is that different 810 mbds have
differnet drivers in windows. some have cs4299( like mine) , some have adi
and others have some ESS audio. why is this so. i thought the 810 itself
contains the audio facility.
hope to find someone who has a clue to all this.
