How you are going to connect the disks will depend on your usage patterns. I recommend putting your primary OS (The one you will be using most often) on one cable, and the CDROM and secondary OS on the other. I have Linux on my primary master, CDROM on sec. slave and 95+NT on secondary master (my use is : mostly Linux, some doze, rare CD). If you are installing NT, remember to keep the NT disk as the only one connected, if its not the primary master which is going to have your boot partition. Just partition each HD separately and install the required operating systems there. Remember to make a /boot partition for Linux of about 30M - 35M (if you ever decide to move to ReiserFS). Partition as required and install. Keep in mind that lilo goes on the primary chain (hda or hdb).
