Satheesh Kumar i use 6.1 as i don't have 6.2 CD anyway thanks for the int and not being so high are some of our list mem are. i appologize if sending cc to is offending thanks for "end" presently using 6.1 linuxconf disables the sound keyboard and mouse give date errors on some files i tried upgrading the kernel to 6.2 but it does not complete the initrd part both the times while giving the command # /sbin/mkintr -v /boot/initrd-2.2.16-3.img 2.2.16-3 # ln -sf initrd-2.2.16-3.img initrd.img then modifying the /etc/lilo.conf and then doing lilo-v which stops when mapping ram disk /boot/initrd.img did any one have this problem thanks manish m ----- Original Message ----- From: Dr K.
