If you have an FTP server on the NT machine, can't you make a tar file of
the backup data on the linux machine and then upload that on an aliases
directory (tape) on teh ftp server?

Yeah.... but you;d have to dome extra work backing / tarring / gzipping the
data.... But I guess some standard locations can be decided.
