MH (mail handler) is what you need initially - and is a royal pain in the ass
if you try it from the command line.
Try http://www.beedub.com/exmh - and be warned that exmh configuration is in
tcl script. See http://www.beedub.com/exmh/custom.html for customizing exmh,
mh etc.
