hello,
 i have RH 6.0 installed on a 2gb partition on a 10 gb disk.
i had left the remaininb space free during installation.
now i am trying to create a new partion of 3gb and mount.
i am unable to do so.
i get an error saying that partition table read failed whenever i write
my new partition on the disk. but when i start fdisk i can see the new
patition. when i try to mount it.. i get the following error.

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda3,
or too many mounted file systems
(aren't you trying to mount an extended partition,
instead of some logical partition inside?)
expecting a few replies to this problem.
regards
divakaran
