hello ,
 i have already run mke2fs on that  partition and i get the following error.


./mke2fs /dev/hda3
mke2fs 1.14, 9-Jan-1999 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09
/dev/hda3: Not enough space to build proposed filesystem while setting up 
superb
lock
