Hi
Can anyone help me set my partition table right? I tried to install Minix a
few days ago and used its part program to make a new primary partition.
It looks like that this created errors in my partition table - the setup ended
with an unexpected EOF error and even deleting that partition and creating a
new one using fdisk/cfdisk doesn't help. Here's what "sfdisk -V -l /dev/hda"
says:
______________________________________________________________
Disk /dev/hda: 2096 cylinders, 255 heads, 63 sectors/track
Units = cylinders of 8225280 bytes, blocks of 1024 bytes, counting from 0

/dev/hda1 is my windows C: and /dev/hda8 is D:
/dev/hda2 is /boot
/dev/hda4 is the new partiton.
/dev/hda5 is /home
/dev/hda7 is /

Is there any way I can set the partition table right without having to
repartition the whole disk and losing data?
Trevor
