I am not to sure how to do this but the logical solution was indeed loadlin.
In case u want to know which partitions linux was booting from. U can
install explore2fs from
http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm
This will help u access the linux partitions from within windows. Then use
loadlin accordingly. I know all this sounds very stupid but i think its
worth giving a shot.

raj

Subject: [LIH] Help in installing Lilo again!!!
Hello friends,
Wishing a very Happy Diwali & prosperous season
ahead to all the lists members.
I have AMD K6 II based machine (home PC) with 10 GB HDD. It has 4
partitions with Window 98 and RHLinux 6.2 installed on it. While deleting
some game files the MBR got corrupted and the machine was not booting in
any OS. It used to give prompt as 'LI' and stopped. I removed the
corrupted MBR by giving command as a:/>fdisk /mbr. Now it has started
booting in windows only but I cannot boot it in linux from here. I tried
to do it with loadlin but couldn't succeed. I donot remember on which
partition (hda1, hda2 etc.) I have put linux boot. Please suggest some
solution so that I shall be able to load Lilo again and be able to use
both the OS.
Thanks in advance
.......Milind
