[LIH] can't set font on Eterm

hi list,

i want to apply a truetype font to an Eterm.  upon giving the 
follwoing command i get an error message something like:

$ Eterm --font /usr/share/fonts/default/TrueType/comic.ttf
error: could not load font comic.ttf

the Eterm does open with a default font.  how can i achieve this?
