Hi,

for xntpd you need to read the docs, hunt about on the web for reasonably
good time servers (I used two in UK, one in US, and one at Japan - not
really recommended) with open access (or you can go through the process of
emailing and getting permission first. You need to configure xntpd.conf by
reading the docs. If you're practicing on dialup lines, you may have to
juggle with the timeout values especially if you set auto disconnect for
wvdial on inactivity. The process is slightly painful but nice to know
your wristwatch (or local beowulf - not really required) is calibrated to
16 microsecs or less. I'm sending the SuSE xntpd rc script separately (to
spare the weaker modems)

best wishes,
\Indraneel
