Is there a howto or help file somewhere as to installing rpm 4 on a system
currently on rpm 3.05?
I have a sketchy sort of dea as to what doto, and want to know if the
following will do it:

1. get the src rpms from rpm.org and make necessary RPMs for installing with
rpm ver 3
2. backup the Packages file in /var/lib/rpm
3. Install, then remove the packages file in /var/lib/rpm
4. then rpm -rebuilddb --dbapi1 --rebuilddbapi 3

And pray that the stuff works.
If anyone has done this upgrade, please enlighten.
