I used Lame 3.70. With default 128kbps the quality is good enough for me. OK I
am as good as Aurangjeb as far as music is converned.

Also Lame documentation mentions that avrage bit rate is better in terms for
encoding time etc. Check out.

In my opinion, after you produce the first .mp3, I doubt you will opt for
experimenting with the bit rates. It's good anyway... :-))
