Netscape messenger is really a cool stuff to start with
and has nice features except that it can not handle
multiple pop account.

My advice, use fetchmail (a very reliable, sturdy, well
documented, and widely used by Linux comunity) to poll
your multiple pop account to get the mail at one place
(in /var/spool/mail/mail or /var/spool/mail/root,
possibly), then use Netscape messenger as your mail
client (use movemail option to poll the local mailbox,
in this case /var/spool/mail/mail or whatever it is).

Apology to all, in this world of nice desktop like
KDE/GNOME, pine or mutt or elm are just a pian in the
neck!
