Hi,
Yesterday I upgraded my system to Celeron 600MHZ with Intel 810. In Red Hat 7 no
problems with X install, the card was automatically detected.
In SuSE 6.3 I created agpgart device with major & minor numbers, added entry in
/etc/conf.modules to load agpgart module and installed xi810 server from SuSE CD.
However When I try to configure the graphical card with sax I get the following on the
screen :

using XFCom_i810 for configuration

an error occured
for more information please look at :
~/StartLog and ~/ServerLog

The ServerLog shows the following error :

(--)SVGA: error doing ioctl(GARTIOCINFO): Invalid argument
Fatal Server error:
Aborting

What is the cause of the above error. Has anybody configured 810 X server on SuSE 6.3
with the new kernel 2.2.16 ( the original SuSE 6.3 came with the old kernel 2.2.12).
One more thing. In Red Hat 7 the VRAM is detected as 16MB on my 810 machine. What
should be the actual value of VRAM in /etc/XF86Config file.
Can anybody help me out in this ?
