Hello,
Yesterday I tried upgrading my RH 6.0 to 6.2. However, as soon as it is
time for the install program to copy the files, it exits abnormally. I
then tried a new install by deleting the partitions in disk druid and
then creating new partitions but once again when it is about to starts
formating the drive, the same problem occurs. I then tried with rh 6.1
but that met with the same error. Each time the programs exits
abnormally that too at the time when it is about to format the drive.
While I suspect some sort of disk error, I really can't be sure coz RH
6.0 was working fine.

I have a 486 - DX4 (Cyrix) with 24 MB ram. A 4.3 GB HDD with win95 on
about 2 GB and the remaining for Linux. The linux was loaded on a non
dos partition. Do you think it would help if I converted it to an
extended dos partition and then tried loading linux ? I was planning to
reduce the win partition to 1 GB.

I didn't try reinstalling RH6.0 coz it was getting late. So I can't say
for sure wether it is a problem with my hardware or not. But any
suggestions would be most welcome.

Thank You,
Regards,
mario
