in my belief, u can hav at most 4 'primary' partitions on an IDE. if u
want more, then one of the four *must* be an "extended" partition, in
which u can hav as many partitions as u want (i dunno of any limit).

u wil hav to shift data within the partitions so that u can free one of
them. then delete that partition, recreate it as an extended one. and
create ur new partitions in that.
