Thanks everyone ( shridhar binand and ambarish ;)
I thinks its this blasted proxy ( no its not squid) which is screwing
things up. I did not know about the restart command, earlier.
But i checked up with the fast(er) *ahem* sunsite mirror but it does
seem to handle restart. It must be the proxy server %$@#
