[LIH] About network speed and mtu size

Hi

 I just have been told that if mtu/mru setting for a network interface are
changed, then it affects lan throughput.

We have 100MBps lan but never get that much speed. So these wierd things
are being tried. But I am not convinced...

Any comments?
