Hi All,
I'm working in DSQ Softwares Ltd. (INDIA) and currently developing
a network performance management software. The objective of our software is
to monitor various terminals on the network, and collect performance
related parameters (system specific), using SNMP. The software also
requires, the extraction of Operating System related parameters (ex.
parameters related to Virtual memory, Threads, Processor Info, Server queue
length, etc).
Commands such ps, procinfo, hdparam do this kind of stuff. Is
their source available?
How can we extract these parameters from the OS (UNIX/LINUX)? Are
there any system calls to get these parameters directly or should we dwelve
into the kernel source and find out?
Any kind of help would be appreciated. Some sample source code
would be useful to me.
Thanks in advance.
