when i configured my eth account and try to fetch mail, i got this error
"fetchmail: couldn't find canonical DNS name of pop3.eth.net". then i put the
entry

127.0.0.1 kumarayil localhost
202.9.167.138 pop3.eth.net pop3.eth.net (in /etc/hosts)

thereafter when i try fetchmail it just hangs. i didn't hold the line online till
it timeout. but in offline if i try "fetchmail -v" the o/p is like this.

fetchmail: 5.5.0 querying pop3.eth.net (protocol POP3) at Fri, 29 Dec 2000 08:18:20
+0530 (IST)
fetchmail: POP3 connection to pop3.eth.net failed: Network is unreachable
fetchmail: Query status=2 (SOCKET)
fetchmail: normal termination, status 2

even now it is fetching all my mails from eudoramail.com. i am using
fetchmail+mutt+exim+procmail combination on a standalone m/c.

thanks.

with regards
