I tried #hostname -i , it is giving my ip address properly
i.e 192.168.1.4 & on #hostname it gives me juhi thats also right.

what i did is deleted all the previous spool from /var/spool/lpd , & restarted the
system again

then using printtool i added a local printer by default name lp, which in turn created
a new spool in /var/spool/lpd by name lp as usual.

then i restarted the lpd daemon but it gave me the same error.
i.e
 Stopping lpd: [Failed]
Starting lpd: 2001-01-08-18:23:30/936 juhi Get_local_host: 'localhost' IP address not
available [OK]

& on trying to print a test page through Printtool it gave the following error

Error printing test page to queue lp
Error reason:Get_local_host: 'localhost' IP address not available!
