first of all thank you replying
yes sshd is running on that box because i can connect to that server using ssh.
also i cannot use ftp because it is disabled on that server
I haven't tried rsync , i will try it now & let u know
I also have one more problem regarding the printer
I want to print from my linux box to a HP officejet printer .
Using printtool I installed local printer, on lp0 & restarted the lpd
daemon, but when i
m trying to print a test page it is giving me error
i.e
Error printing test page to queue lp
Error reason:Get_local_host: 'localhost' IP address not available!
when i restarted the lpd daemon, it gave me the same error.
i.e
Stopping lpd: [Failed]
Starting lpd: 2001-01-08-18:23:30/936 juhi Get_local_host:
'localhost' IP address
not available [OK]
the local port is detected & so do the printer as HP officejet
printer on lp0. but
whenever trying to print
it is showing
Get_local_host: 'localhost' IP address not availablewhen ever i m
trying to print it says
