I used fdisk for linux to partition. Fdisk for windows has a problem with
creating multiple primary partitions

There was a howto regarding this in one of the BSD sites. I am sorry, but
i don't remember the link. You can try asking FreeBSD folks on this list
regarding this. The gist of the howto is that BSD can use any partition as
swap, but linux has to first do an mkswap on the partition before using
it. So the steps involved are putting mkswap in rc.local or somewhere.
