Hi!
I compiled the linux 2.4 kernel with sound card
support as modular, aslo kept all entries in xconfig
realted to ess ( my card ) and creative as modular!
During the reboot it says filed to load the
modules. The structure of /lib/modules/2.4 is diff is
this the cause? as in older ver all the sound moudules
are in misc folder and in lin 2.4 it is in the drivers
folder. What do I change so that it loads the requied
module.
Also, I think this is related to the minimal
install I have done ! System config in setup on PH 6.2
does not work where as all the other options that i
have used like mouse config have! Please give the
comand to start / stop system services ( dont rtfm me
!! pls i have no manuals!! ) else what could have been
the problem.
