DO NOT rm files in /dev. Why do you want to do that? It is not as if they
are taking up too much disk space. If you REALLY want to rm files there
(and don't tell me I didn't warn you against it), just rm-ing will do the
job. The problem is there is no easy way to find out which files under
/dev you don't need. Let us say you do not have anything on your secondary
IDE bus (i.e. hdc and hdd). You can think of rm-ing /dev/hdc* and
/dev/hdd*. The problem would be recreating these entries when you /do/ add
a second hard disk in the secondary IDE bus.
