I get the following problem for booting frm a diskette:

First the LILO prompt comes.. (asks whether want to use rescue) I type
rescue.
LILO: rescue

It does some initial processing then shows this up..
Warning: unable to open an initial console.
Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init=option to kernel.

any idea what this means? and what i should do?

I had created a boot(rescue) disk during my Redhat6.0 installation (which it
had prompted me). But now when i try to boot it hangs/stops at the above
error.

any soln. linux smarties?

duke.
