Yes. I compiled 2.4 kernel on debian 2.2 and the sound module sounds much
better for my es1371. No need of using alsa I feel. Will have to use this
kernel for a sufficient long period to arrive at some conclusion.

However the booting for 2.4 is fast. For the first time used x-cd-roast after
recompiling the kernel with scsi imulation (Earlier I was using command line
for burning CD's under Linux). x-cd-roast is an excellent
front-end for burning CD's. What other X based front-ends are you guys using
for burning CD's on Linux. Is there anything better than x-cd-roast ??

Regards
