If you have compiled for pentium processor, try with 486 or 386 optimisation.
Some Cyrix processors are not fully compactible with as pentiums.
Better disable mtrr and smp options also.
Another reason could be you might have left out "Vga text" or
"Virtual terminal" drivers.
