Hello,

I have got a problem. My default hard disk settings using
/sbin/hdparm
is 16 bit, DMA turned off. I use hdparm to set it to 32 bit, and turn DMA
on. But
after a reboot, the settings return to their default. This severely affects
the
data transfer between the system and the hard disk. It restricts the data
transfer rate to half its capability. How do I set it right, So that the 32
bit
settings remain, even after a reboot?

Regards,
V Suresh.
