Hi,
This server as i mentioned, is not used as mail, proxy, DNS or firewall neither it
is connected to outside..
we use it as developing platform..
and about the shell most people love to use ksh here.though some work in bash.

Yeah, but the users would need access to pine / or (your fav.) mutt for
mails.
Neomail kind of a software can also be an option if only mails are
required.
