Hi All
I am trying Linux for the first time and decided to install RH 6.2 from
the PCQuest CD on my i810 PC. I also managed to upgrade the kernel to
2.2.16-3, again as outlined in August PCQuest . There, thre X started
with "Can you see this message". I could not reply yes because the
keyboard and mouse did not respond.
So as per Feb PCQuest I installed the XFCom packages. Now startx starts
the X(I can see the welcome screen and icons), but mouse pointer remain
fixed at the center and refuse to budge and key board also does not
respond(Only once the Alt-F worked). The system hangs and i have to reset
the PC. I tried all microsoft/logitech/generic PS/2 3 buttons(It is a
logitech 3 button mouse). Windows Device Manager shows the mouse
as "standard Serial Mouse".
Does someone know what is happeing ?
