|As an alternate I partitioned my 540MB hdd using the Debian installation
|disks (rescue.bin, root.bin), after doing this I rebooted my machine using
|the Red hat Linux CD 6.1, Voila !!! I didn't get any signal 11 problems:-),
|the installation went smoothly. As of now I'm booting Linux by the boot
disk
|which I created using the Red hat Linux CD 6.1 installation.
Debian uses cfdisk and RedHat uses diskdurid, I feel the problem could be
due to diskdurid only. I wonder why RedHat does shy away from cfdisk (not
fdisk)
I love cfdisk / fdisk only.

|Now I have a working Linux system , still not confident enough to touch my
|win98 on my hda(20 GB) to install LILO on it :-<.
Still better,
Copy loadlin and vmlinuz to a directory in windows and put following in a
batch file,
loadlin <Full_path_to_vmlinuz> root=/dev/hda*
Where /dev/hda* is linux partition.
Run the batch file from dos prompt, and Linux will be loaded.
You can make a short cut to this batch file (name it Good Bye Win ;-) on the
desktop and load linux by simply double clicking it.
Enjoy!! The Linux,
