I run Mandrake 7.1
When I check the sound card (Sound Blaster Live!) under Drakconf, I hear the
sound of the test, but when I press OK I got the message: sox:Can't open
output file '/dev/dsp': no such device.
When I run esd I get same answer.
In directory /dev I have entries dsp; dsp0, dsp1, dsp2, dsp3 all belong to
user but have length of 0 bytes
When I try to run XMMS I got message cannot open soundcard or something like
it and nothing happen.
I was previously running RH 6.2 on the same machine and never had any
problem running xmms (at least not the same kind)
Any idea?
