Yeah Mario,
I have had a share of this as well ;) this cropped up when I wanted to
go back and change the partition size ( increase /usr ;). But I guess this
is a different error from the sig11.

i wasnt that daring so i hit <ctrl><alt><del>

yeah amen.
BTW once i was playing the audience for a Mandrake 7.2 install.
Strangely it would progress well enough to load the kernel vfs from the cd
detect the hard drive etc, but then freeze/fail on the cdrom drive. From
the virtual terminal I could see it had hanged on mod-probing "ide-cdrom",
while another module ( i dont remeber the exact name) for reading the
cdrom had failed just before it. Queerly the kernel had managed to load
itself from the cdrom moments before. It was not a heating issue as the
install would freeze at the same point and time, every time.
Dont know what what was the problem, I hear he installed Mandrake 7.0 on
his pc without a hitch. Is there any caveat in loading a cdrom as a slave
without having anything on the master. ( this just a wild guess shot about
the problem )
