i'm planning to take a C/C++ - Unix course to get
basic programming knowledge for technical writing
purposes. i have linux (mandrake 7.2) installed in my
machine. can i practise unix and do unix homework with
my linux? how much similar are they?
also, i could compile helloworld.c with turbo c
compiler. but when i typed the c code in vi and named
it first.c and commanded
gcc first.c
it says there's some problem with the void thingy.
