Hi!!
I faced the same problem ......
I dont remeber how i detected the problem...... But
which ever device connected on the secondary would
give error. After i connected the HD on the secondary
and cd rom on primary, the other consoles that are
present during install one of them which was giving
error related to cdrom was now giving error related to
HD. I did the obvious connected both on the primary
and LInux installed successfully.... Later connecting
the cdrom back to secondary gae no error. I faced this
problem on all the 21 HP Vectra PIII m/c in my college
lab, and not on any assembled m/c.
Which m/c did you guys face probs with...??
With Hope for you
Ritesh
