[LIH] Sendmail - Deliver to local users delayed

Dear Folks,
I have installed Sendmail 8.9.3 for mail serving. The local mails are also
getting queued up which should not be. I am using
maildelivery=deferred option
If this is turned off, the local mails go quick but the outside mails are
taking a lot of time from clients.
Please help.
