if you want to go that way, there is always junk buster. However for a
home box I find junkbuster slows it down a bit, but it should be ideal for
a network.
For home I have found 2 solutions quite good,
1)
map all the banner providing domains to 127.0.0.1. I had a list of these (
got it through google )
2) the above wont work if the url is given in terms of ips. So the next
way is to use ipchains to block these. This infact is better since you can
put "reject" so it wont wait for a time out.
3) I use pdnsd, where it is possible to assign null replies for certain
domains, but for some reason my pdnsd crashes for this so i removed this.
However I am looking for a page wise solution. That is on the page i
upload i'll append a small javascript to kill whatever pop-ups those
people added. Should be possible
