Hi!
I'm have been trying to get lilo set on my machine and get this error at
boot up.
L 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 02 ............
The docs say to keep retrying.. I've tried about 10 times !
I have this weird setup right now where I make the BIOS boot the primary
slave which contains Win9x+2K+BeOS and the NT Loader takes care of
that very nicely.
My main linux install is on a different harddisk which is the primary
master. I have been trying to install lilo into the MBR of this drive with
no luck.(it installs ok but doesn't startup)
(the reason for this weird setup is because of the Ultra short UDMA66
cable and a breathing hole on one of the harddisks! which has forced me to
put the windows disk as primary slave.)
when I use linloader to boot the kernel.. it's really crazy coz windows
thinks it's primary master... but when linux loads it says it's on hda !
so I have to give the root partition as being on hda when at the time of
booting linux is actually on hdb.
I noticed people here saying that Windoze doesn't use the MBR.. but all
the mini HOWTOs says that the NT loader is on the MBR ! (can I get an
authoritative response for this?)
