Please bear with me for the following question. Though I could have seen
in Hardware for Linux, I am posting this here only to benefit from
experience in Indian conditions regarding availability and service.
I am thinking of going for a new system. The use of system will be for
some productivity applications like office, Internet surfing with Email
and voice chat and Internet telephony with video conferencing whenever
broadband (in real sense available), seeing TV, VCDs and of course light
development/training in development.
I am thinking of
Intel PIII 866 MHz,
128 MB Ram,
20 GB HDD,
i815e chipset
with TV Tuner card,
Samtron 75E monitor,
HP 82** CD writer,
scroll mouse,
thinking of using inbuilt sound in MB
speakers
mic
UPS
I would like to know from all of you your preferences with reason for
suggestion and also if any to avoid if it will not work in Linux.
