Hi all,
I upgraded from a 2.2.12 kernel to a 2.4.3 on a RH 6.1 distro.
There are a few problems I am facing:
While shutting down, i get a "Closing X Font Server" FAILED message.
Secondly, the earlier kernel had two files that I am unable to reconcile in
the new kernel: an initrd-2.2.12.img (which also had an entry in lilo.conf)
and a module-info-2.2.12 file, both in the /boot directory.
What are the files i need to copy from the /usr/src/linux directory to
replace these files, because I get a Loading module failed message for the
sound and midi modules (which were there with the original kernel, but I
removed from the new one)?
