I did not do anything for that - i had it working out of the box - i mean if
i mail root - root gets it locally and so does ashwind from root.

I only had to set up the smtp deferred delivery and a simple bash script
which postconf -e smtp servers when i change connections between vsnl and
eth.

bounce-notification =ashwind; i also have aliases showinfg root: ashwind. The
info on bounces reads:
---------
Apr 18 08:41:21 localhost postfix/smtp[1232]: 839AE1F2D1:
to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, relay=202.54.6.20[202.54.6.20], delay=13,
status=bounced (host 202.54.6.20[202.54.6.20] said: 554 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Recipient address rejected: Relay access denied)
-----------
as far as i can see, no mail is generated on bounce to anyone - root or his
alias ashwind.

Ashwin
