No i don't think you can make windows to override LILO. All M$ O$s make an
assumption that the system only has one OS. WinNT atleast takes into
consideration another Windows installation, the other windows don't even do
that. The only solution worth trying i think is the one where you boot with
the linux installation CD and then mount the linux partion and run
/sbin/lilo again. this should restore LILO. If you don't have a linux CD you
can get the tom root/boot disk from i think toms.net. And in the future have
a linux boot disk handy.
I personally use a third party free boot manager which i can install from
windows and then use to configure windows as well as linux to boot from it.
i am currently using XOSL. get it from the net ( don't remember the site). A
very cool boot manager.
