Another possibility is that he hasn't set up wine correctly to access his
mounted partition. If I'm right, you need to ser up virtual 'drive' entries
in wine.conf that wine will map to the linux filesystem. So unless the
sol.exe binary is within one of the accessable 'drives', the progrram may not
execute.... Just a thought
