from what I have seen... it shows a timer on the top left corner of the
screen.... and for DivX;-) clips it also shows a position indicator when
forwarding and rewinding.
(Basically On Screen Display)
I think it is also used to display subtitles to DivX clips (never seen
one... but remember reading about it someplace!)
