[LIH] Hoaxes or true ?

Hi all,

I heard that MS is going to make their own Linux distribution. Is it true or
a hoax ?

Also, I heard MS has 'bought' Java hence Visual Basic is fast going to
overcome Java. I wonder what that means.

I didn't get head or tail of these two news. Anyone can clear ?
