Hi,

I installed Quake2 and lxdoom from Debian CD. Both games work very well
under Linux. However I face a problem regarding the music server.

If I start doom I get the following error :

/usr/games/musserv: midi_setup: error opening /dev/sequencer
/usr/games/musserv: No such device

There is a device /dev/sequencer and I have also added login rajesh to
group audio.

rajesh@debian:/dev$ l sequencer
crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 1 Jul 5 2000 sequencer

I get the above error if I run as root too.

What I have on my system :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
rajesh@debian:/dev$ dpkg -l | grep doom
ii doom-wad-share 1.9-1 Shareware game files for the 3D game DOOM
ii lxdoom 1.4.1-1.1 Linux port of boom, an enhanced version of D
ii lxdoom-sndserv 1.4.1-1.1 Sound effects server for LxDoom
ii lxdoom-svga 1.4.1-1.1 Svgalib binary for lxdoom
ii lxdoom-x11 1.4.1-1.1 X binary for LxDoom
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Doom works fine. But I don't get sound.

What I should do ?

If I play lxdoom-x11 or quake-x11 I get only a small window. How should I
run them in full screen mode in X ? The console mode games work fine.

Please advice.

Thanks in advance.
